A shuttle is able to pass through small gaps while pulling a line through occupied conduit. The biodegradable foam pellet cleans the internal surface of the conduit as it pulls the line through unoccupied conduit. A pellet can be used to push mud, water and debris out of unoccupied conduit.
When deploying a line through occupied conduit, a foam cable packer is used to seal and hold the shaft in the end of the conduit.
The braking reel provides a safe means of spooling out line. An adjustable friction brake keeps tension on the line and stops the reel when the pellet or shuttle reaches the end of the conduit. The brake reel also provides a simple and easy way to retrieve and store the pulling line.
